An electronic payment system for the motorway which means that vehicles can pay without having to stop to pay by card or in cash, therefore eliminating the usual stopping at the booths.

The Autopista offers a toll road exclusively for the use of vehicles, heavy or light with the ViaT device.

How does the Telepeaje work?

Firstly, the vehicle must have installed an interoperable device called an OBE. This can then be 'read' by a tracker located at the pay toll. Once the vehicle's device is recognised, the barrier lifts up and the vehicle can pass through.

The OBE is positioned on the windscreen at the height of the rear-view mirror. If the vehicle has a heated windscreen, the OBE should be positioned where the manufacturer intended instead.

The OBE must always be positioned on the windscreen while driving on the Motorway to ensure it works properly.

The Exclusive Toll Roads are clearly marked at all of the toll booths.

The Use of the OBE will make your journey quicker and more comfortable. You can also benefit from discounts and HABITUALIDAD offered by Autopista del Sol to its users.

Interoperability

This electronic system on the road between Malaga and Estepona is interoperable and can be used on any OBE Via T, meaning that as well as being able to use it on the Autopista between Malaga and Estepona, it can also be used on any toll road in Spain where you see our signs.
